Rosselba Le Palme

Elba, a pearl in the Mediterranean Sea just an hour's boat ride from the Tuscan coast. On this authentic Italian island you can enjoy the varied landscape with its characteristic green hills, cypresses, beautiful bays, beaches and villages. In Portoferraio, with the harbor and the old town, you will find narrow streets, terraces and shops. The Tendi location Rosselba Le Palme is a 10-minute drive from Portoferraio in Ottone. A beautiful terraced campsite with its own palm garden, a unique place on Elba, where all the beauty and good things of the island and Italy come together. 

Camping 

Rosselba Le Palme, a medium-sized terraced camp site for the whole family, located by a bay 10 minutes' drive from Portoferraio harbor. Here you can enjoy luxury, a beautiful palm garden and all the facilities that Rosselba Le Palme offers.

From the old port town of Portoferraio you can easily drive to the campsite. The Tendi Glamping Safari Tents with private bathroom in the tent are located on a narrow tree-filled terrace of the campsite. The atmosphere at the campsite is pleasant and uncluttered by the various terraces. Naturally, at Rosselba Le Palme there is a swimming pool with a separate children's pool, a whirlpool and sun beds with umbrellas. There is also a playground for the children and from the end of May to the first week of September there is an entertainment program. In the mini market you can get fresh bread, small groceries and some specialties. Enjoy Italian cuisine and fine wines on the terrace at the restaurant in the evening. Portoferraio with the historic center is a 5-minute drive away and here you will find all facilities, such as a supermarket, grocery store, shops, cafés, various restaurants and of course the pleasant harbor.

Note: We do not place additional tents on Rosselba Le Palme, so you can sleep up to 4 people.

Tip: You can use 4 different ferry companies (including Toremar, Moby Lines, Blunavy, Corsica Ferries) that sail several times a day from Piombino to Elba in 1 hour. Via the campsite you can request a code for reduced ferry crossings with Blunavy (Click here). Of course you can also fly cheaply with Transavia from Amsterdam to Pisa, among others.

Activities

  • On Thursday morning there is a local market in Capoliveri and Procchio, on Friday in Portoferraio and on Saturday morning in Porto Azzuro. Other small markets are on Monday morning in Rio Marina, on Tuesday morning in Rio nell’Elba and on Wednesday morning in Marina di Campo
  • Portoferraio with the harbor and the historic center including Piazza della Republica, the Santissima Misericorde church, Forte Stella and the Archaeological Museum
  • Villa dei Mulini di Napoleone in Portoferraio. This was Napoleon's main residence that he had built between the two fortresses that dominate the port scene of Portoferraio. A little further outside the city is the old summer residence, Villa di San Martino
  • Capoliveri with the historic center, Piazza Matteotti Capoliveri, the San Michele church and the San Rocco church
  • Porto Azzurro, with a nice harbor and restaurants on jetties. From Porto Azzurro you can visit the islands of Pianosa and Montecristo
  • Lacona Beach, a beautiful and elongated sandy beach 15 minutes' drive away
  • Duna Park amusement park in Lacona
  • Acquario dell’Elba in Marina di Campo
  • Marciana Marina, a nice harbor town
  • Procchio beach, one of the most beautiful beaches on the island
  • Monte Capanne, the highest ridge in Elba with beautiful views
