Monti del Sole

Country/Region

Umbria is a beautiful and green region that is becoming increasingly popular. This is also not surprising, because it has everything to offer in terms of culture, nature, medieval art cities and Umbrian cuisine. Monti del Sole is located near the medieval village of Narni. The beautiful Fluviale del Tevere National Park and the Laghi Lungo e Ripasottile Nature Reserve are a 45-minute drive away and there are opportunities for hiking and mountain biking on various marked trails in the area. The region offers a variety of trips and excursions, such as visiting the famous art cities of Orvieto, Rome, Assisi and Perugia. But don't forget to visit the Marmore waterfalls, the highest waterfalls in Europe with the nearby lake Piediluco.

Camping

Camping Monti de Sole is a small family camp site in the green heart of Italy. It is beautifully situated at an altitude of 400 meters in the middle of Umbria with a view of the surrounding hills. The village of Narni is 5 km away and here you will find all the necessary facilities and various shops and restaurants. This area is ideal for walks, mountain bike tours and horse riding.

Tendi has placed 2 types of Glamping Tents here: the Tendi Glamping Safari Tent with bathroom and the Tendi Glamping Lodge Tent with private bathroom, both are beautifully situated on a separate part of the campsite. The Tendi Lodge Tents have 3 bedrooms, loft / floor and an attractive veranda with lounge set. Of course there is a swimming pool with chairs and a separate children's pool.

There is also a playground and a playing field for the children. In the restaurant or on the terrace you can enjoy the Umbrian cuisine or the homemade pizzas. Also try one of the Umbrian wines from this region such as the Orvieto Classico, served by the hospitable Petrini family, or visit a Cantina winery yourself.

Tip: You can find cheap flights to Rome at Ryanair, Transavia or Easyjet.
