Country/region 

Camping de Kerleyou is located 1.5 km from the sea in the bay of Douarnenez in Brittany. The South Finistère region has many faces, from natural bays with beaches, authentic villages, port towns, to beautiful beaches. Also an ideal area for fishing or practicing various water sports, such as surfing, sailing or stand up paddle.

The area is also ideal for cyclists and walkers. The last mentioned,can opt for the GR 34 coastal path, for beautiful walks along bays and the sea. 

Camping 

Camping de Kerleyou is a quietly located campsite in natural surroundings, 1.5 km from the sea and Plage des Sables Blancs. The campsite is ideal for lovers of peace, space and nature. The Tendi Glamping Safari Tents with private bathroom are in nice places with a separate place for the car. Of course there is a wonderful (heated) swimming pool with a separate children's pool. There is a playground with table tennis and table football for the children.

In the town of Douarnenez with its pleasant harbor (at 3.5 km) are all other amenities available such as: a supermarket, bakers, butcher, shops with local products, post office, tourist information office, various cafes and (fish) restaurants and a market on Monday. There are 4 beaches around Douarnenez, namely: Ris, Ladies, Sables Blancs and the beach of Saint-Jean.

  • Visit the local market on Mondays in Douarnenez, on Wednesdays and Saturdays in Tréboul and on Wednesdays and Saturdays in Quimper. The night market with food, local products and crafts in Locronan is also worthwhile.
  • Douarnenez, nice harbor town with shops, restaurants and a lively quay. Visit the harbor museum.
  • Boat trip to Île Tristan
  • Various beaches and bays in the area, where you can surf, sail, stand up paddle, or spend a day relaxing.
  • Pont Croix, historic town perched on a hill and surrounded by the Goyen river.
  • Audierne, small Breton harbor at the mouth of the Goyen with old quay and small streets.
  • Cape Sizun and Pointe du Raz, located on the western tip of the peninsula with small bays, turquoise waters and beautiful views.
  • Quimper, cultural capital of Brittany with nice center, narrow streets, half-timbered houses and many sights.
  • The Crozon peninsula between Douarnenez and Brest with various bays, panoramas. Also stop at Morgat for the night market or to discover one of the many sea caves.
  • Locronan, small characteristic town with houses from the 15th century and classified as a historic monument.
  • Pont L’Abbé, located in the Pays de Bigouden region. This region is known for the costumes of the women and their characteristic headdress. All this can be seen at the Musée Bigouden, or during the annual festival in July. Every Thursday there is also a market on Place de la République and Gambetta.
  • Various water sport activities in the immediate area, such as surfing, sailing, stand up paddle.
  • Golf de kerbenez, a 9 hole golf course at Quimper. Or the 18-hole golf courses of Golf de L’Odet and Golf de Cornouaille, both slightly south of Quimper.
