Borken am See

Camping Borken am See is a small-scale family campsite located on the Pröbstingsee near Borken (only 1.5 hours drive from Utrecht) in the middle of the Hohe Mark / Münsterland nature reserve. There are many castles and fortresses in Münsterland. Several of the type of airlock can be seen in particular. The most beautiful castles are included in the 100 Castles Route. 

Camping 

Camping Borken am See is a small (car-free) family camp site, located on a lake and particularly suitable for families with children. The Tendi Glamping Safari Tents with private bathroom are located in spacious places on the edge of the campsite, close to the lake. The lake (Pröbstingsee) with beach and play equipment offers the possibility to swim. At the lake a little further away you can canoe, pedal boat and fish. Of course there is a playground for the little ones and you can enjoy a drink on the terrace or a menu in the restaurant in the evening. Next to the campsite is a spectacular climbing park and outdoor center. The village of Borken with all facilities is 4 km.

TIP!

In the early and late season you can also reserve midweeks, weekends or other short stays. These can be reserved by telephone, or you can also send an email to info@tendi-glamping.com.

  • Kletterwald Borken, climbing park and outdoor center right next to the campsite with climbing courses for all ages. The heights vary from 1.20 to 15 meters.
  • "Aquarius" indoor swimming pool and wellness center in Borken
  • Movie Park Germany in Bottrop (approx. 39 km). Tip! Take the train from Borken station
  • Ketteler Hof play park in Haltern am See (approx. 35 km)
  • Münster (approx. 65 km) with beautiful Gothic town hall, the Medieval Dom (market on the square every Wednesday and Saturday), Picasso museum and of course Münster is popular as a cycling city
  • Pony rides at Ponyhof in Isselburg
  • The unique Flamingo cycle route passes the most northern flamingo colony in Europe. • Wunderland Kalkar amusement park (approx. 43 km) cozy family park with more than 40 attractions. Especially nice for children up to 12 years old
  • Sealife in Oberhausen (approx. 49 km) with around 20,000 marine animals on an area of 3300 m² and 2 million liters of water
  • Legoland Indoor Discovery in Oberhausen (approx. 49 km)
  • Zoom experience zoo in Gelsenkirchen (approx. 55 km), the three continents of Alaska, Africa and Asia have been recreated on more than 30 hectares. The animals live in their own natural environment. Moreover, every continent has its own dining and playing facilities.
  • Duisburg (approx. 60 km) with, among other things, "Tiger & Turtle". A tough roller coaster that you walk over as slowly as a "turtle". A real experience!
  • Shopping in Bocholt (approx. 13 km) or Oberhausen (approx. 49 km) Europe's largest shopping center CentrO • Essen (approx. 26 km) with two covered luxury shopping centers, an old coal mine (UNESCO) and the highest town hall in Germany ( no less than 106 meters)
  • Nearest golf courses: Ahaus, Reken, Schermbeck and Winterswijk
